Liberty Mutual - Analyst II, Data Science. Applies data science techniques; manipulates large structured and unstructured data sets to generate insights. Identifies and tests hypotheses, builds predictive models, translates analyses into visuals, assists in customizing solutions, works on low to moderately complex projects, and engages with the Data Science community. Travel required up to 10%. Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply data science techniques to manipulate data sets and generate insights.
- Identify and test hypotheses ensuring statistical significance.
- Build predictive models for business applications.
- Translate analyses into visuals for non-technical audiences.
- Enable business tradeoff decisions with outcome forecasts.
- Customize analytic solutions to client needs.
- Manage smaller project components.
- Participate in cross-functional working groups.
- Travel up to 10%; telecommuting up to 100%.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D. in Operations Research, Statistics, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Understanding of optimization algorithms.
- Ability to model business processes mathematically.
- Experience building ML and LLM models.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of MLOps standards.
- Hands-on experience with EDA.
- SQL proficiency.
- Travel up to 10%; telecommuting up to 100%.
