Investment Structure Ownership: Develop and execute capital-efficient investment structures that optimize regulatory, solvency, and rating agency treatment. Partner with Investment, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Financial Reporting teams to embed insurance and regulatory considerations into new products, asset classes, and portfolio strategies. Lead cross-functional initiatives. Evaluate and adapt investment structures to maintain long-term portfolio viability within regulatory and solvency constraints. Support GSCA initiatives with research and analytical depth related to regulatory or market shifts. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field; advanced degree a plus 10-15 years of experience in investments, insurance, banking, consulting, or related fields, with exposure to regulated financial institutions. Expertise in interpreting and applying financial regulation and rating agency frameworks for financial institutions; insurance-specific experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of asset allocation, capital markets, and both traditional and alternative asset classes. Experience designing, using, and/or implementing financial structures such as CLOs, CFOs, and rated feeder notes a strong plus. Exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capability. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate complex topics clearly to senior stakeholders. Outstanding business acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight timelines. Superior communication and listening skills; able to translate complex issues into clear, actionable narratives to influence and persuade a broad range of partners.
