What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Operations Analyst position at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group?
Perform reconciliation of cash, custodians, positions, and transactions between the Accounting Book of Records (ABOR), Custodians, and the Investment Book of Record (IBOR). Review outstanding cash and holding reconciliation items for potential material impact. Investigate and escalate discrepancies to ensure timely resolution. Maintain comprehensive backup documentation for reconciliation breaks and ensure completeness for monthly close processes. Monitor and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements. Analyze trends in discrepancies and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and minimize recurrence. Support the development and implementation of reconciliation automation initiatives to optimize operational workflows. Participate in additional daily tasks as required by the Lead or Manager. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required. 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Investment Operations or related financial roles. Strong understanding of various investment strategies and products, including private credit. Excellent business acumen and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and a demonstrated ability to learn new applications quickly. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with SimCorp Dimension, BlackRock Aladdin, and S&P WSOWeb and is preferred but not required.
