What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consultant, Product Research, Property & Specialty Underwriting Effectiveness position at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group?
Conducts moderate to high complexity analysis under minimal direction. Builds robust tools and queries for others to use to enable monitoring of our inspections programs, including the use of SAS, Snowflake, PowerBI, and Excel. Leads own workstreams on medium to long-term or moderate to high complexity projects. Conducts competitive intelligence and understands market trends in Property Inspections. Monitors and interprets developments to inform strategic direction. Serves as ad hoc resource for less experienced analysts. Occasionally mentors' others as requested. Conduct analysis to evaluate and implement vendor products. Interacts with vendors as needed. Using information gathered from analysis and research, provides franchise tactical recommendations on a countrywide basis for distribution channels while supporting changes for unique situations. May evaluate cost/benefit calculations of various options, sometimes evaluating complex pilots. Collaborate with teams throughout the organization that execute on inspections. Drive efficiency in inspection execution through the deployment of solutions that optimize, automate & align processes across channels & brands. Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field Minimum 4 year's relevant work experience, typically 6 years. Master's degree beneficial. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem). Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills. Experience managing projects preferred.
