Position Overview
The Liberty Middle School is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and student-centered Technology Education Teacher to join our MiddleSchool team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hands-on learning, design thinking, and preparing students for 21st-century careers in STEM, engineering, and digital trade.
Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with NYS Learning Standards for Technology Education.

Hands-on Instruction: Instruct students in laboratory settings involving wood/metal fabrication, robotics, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and digital media.

Safety Management: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop/lab environment; ensure all students are trained in the proper use of tools and machinery.

Integration: Collaborate with Science and Math departments to create interdisciplinary STEM projects.

Career Readiness: Guide students in exploring CTE pathways and potentially overseeing Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities.

Professionalism: Participate in faculty meetings, professional development (CTLE), and parent-teacher conferences.
Required Qualifications

Certification: Valid New York State Teaching Certificate in Technology Education (All Grades or 7-12).

Note: Candidates with a Transitional A or G certificate based on industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Education or a related field (Master’s required for Professional Certification).

Clearance: Ability to pass NYS Fingerprint Clearance (OSR/TEACH).
