Overview
We are seeking a Director of Nursing to help us get ready for our initial licensure survey in Virginia and to help grow the company. The ideal candidate will have worked for several years as a Director of Nursing for a home health agency. This role is crucial in ensuring that our agency runs smoothly, meets CHAPS standards for a home health agency, and provides high-quality patient care. The Director of Nursing will work closely with medical staff, administrative personnel, and patients to create an effective home health organization.
We operate 24/7. Therefore, availability at odd hours is necessary.
Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Oversee staff management, including hiring, training, orientation, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and improve patient care.
- Ensure the clinic meets CHAPSn Accreditation for home health standards.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate patient care and improve service delivery.
- Address patient concerns and feedback to enhance satisfaction and quality of service.
- Help maintain accurate records and reports related to clinic operations, staffing, and patient care.
Experience
- Proven experience in home health management.
- Strong knowledge of CHAPS standards for home health is necessary.
- Experience with Wellsky as an EMR.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions that benefit agency operations.
Qualifications
- Required: Registered Nurse in Virginia or a compact state.
- Preferred: Licensed Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience as a DON in a home health environment.

Pay: $1,822.14 - $2,194.40 per week
