Liberty Environmental, Inc., a full-service environmental consulting firm, has an immediate opening for an environmental scientist or engineer in their Lancaster, Pennsylvania Office to join their regulatory compliance practice. Routine job tasks will include permitting, reporting, and recordkeeping for industrial facilities associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste generation, hazardous material storage, contingency planning, industrial wastewater discharges, and industrial storm water discharges. Experience preferred, but not required.
All candidates must have:
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent and effective written/verbal communication and organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (primarily Excel and Word) at an advanced level.
Position Requirements:
- B.S. or higher degree in related Environmental Science, or Engineering field.
- Experience with environmental consulting or relevant industrial plant environmental compliance preferred, with working knowledge of the following regulatory programs: CAA, EPCRA, RCRA, and CWA/NPDES.
- Experience preparing SPCC/PPC spill contingency plans, Tier II and TRI/Form R reports, NPDES wastewater and stormwater permitting applications and reports, and federal hazardous waste reports preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations with Pennsylvania regulatory experience preferred.
- Experience preparing air quality permit applications, air emissions inventories, air emissions reports and evaluating air pollution control systems a plus.
- Experience designing water and wastewater treatment systems a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Proof of vaccination for COVID SAR-19
