At Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center, our Patient Access Coordinators are much more than receptionists—they are the first point of contact for every patient entering our Emergency Department. What You'll Do
- Welcome patients and visitors with compassion, professionalism, and respect.
- Register Emergency Department patients quickly and accurately.
- Obtain and verify demographic, insurance, and financial information.
- Collect required signatures and documentation.
- Coordinate patient information with nursing staff, providers, EMS, and other hospital departments.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Help ensure patients move through the registration process efficiently, supporting timely patient care.
What to Expect
No two days are the same in our Emergency Department.
Our team cares for more than 1,100 patient visits each month, requiring individuals who can multitask, stay organized, and provide outstanding customer service even during busy periods.
While the work can be fast-paced and demanding, it is also incredibly rewarding. Every patient who walks through our doors will remember the person who greeted them first—and that person could be you.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Rotating schedule
- Weekend and holiday availability is required.
- Not every weekend or holiday will be worked, but flexibility is essential to support 24/7 patient care.
- Day and/or night shift opportunities based on departmental needs.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
