Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, solutions-driven People & Culture Operations Associate to help power the day-to-day employee experience across our organization.
This is a highly operational role focused on delivering seamless onboarding, supporting employees in the field and corporate teams, and ensuring our systems, data, and processes run smoothly.

Responsibilities
Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle
- Execute high-volume onboarding for both craft/field and corporate hires
- Manage new hire setup across systems (HRIS, onboarding tools, timekeeping, project systems)
- Coordinate onboarding logistics with hiring managers and IT
- Process employee changes including rehires, terminations, and status updates
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee data, including direct deposits, address updates, and tax documentation
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee data across HR systems
- Support timekeeping and system troubleshooting
- Support compliance reporting and audits
- Maintain personnel files and ensure I-9 documentation is compliant and audit-ready
- Identify and improve inefficient or manual processes
- Process weekly sick time submissions and ensure accuracy
- Handle employment verifications and related documentation
Benefits Administration
- Coordinate benefits administration activities, including invoice tracking and payment support with vendors and internal partners
- Perform weekly audits of benefits enrollments to ensure accuracy and alignment with payroll deductions
- Partner with payroll to quickly resolve discrepancies between benefits elections and deductions
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, providing clear, timely support
- Support new hire enrollments and life event changes
- Support leave of absence processes, including:
- Partnering with the leave administration vendor to manage requests
- Guiding employees through the submission process and ensuring timely completion
- Responding to employee questions regarding leave policies, eligibility, and status
- Coordinating with payroll to ensure accurate pay and deductions during leave periods
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in HR operations, People Operations, or administrative roles
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume, process-driven work
- Experience working across multiple HR systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across field and corporate populations
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
- Experience supporting construction, field, or distributed workforce populations is preferred
- Understanding of HR compliance requirements
- Experience improving or documenting operational processes
Working Conditions
General office working conditions with some exposure and time on the physical job site and/or in the construction trailer. Job site walking.
