Role Description The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Royal Oak, MI. This role is responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process, from initial inquiry to closing, including assessing borrower needs, explaining loan products, and collecting required documentation. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and following up with leads, conducting borrower consultations, preparing and submitting loan applications, and coordinating with processors and underwriters to ensure timely approvals. The Mortgage Loan Officer will clearly communicate loan terms, address client questions, and maintain accurate records to support a compliant and efficient lending process. Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in working as a Loan Officer and building a career in the mortgage industry.
- Knowledge of the mortgage industry and mortgage lending practices, or a demonstrated ability to learn these quickly.
- Familiarity with underwriting concepts and documentation requirements, with attention to regulatory and company guidelines.
- Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a client-focused approach.
