Full-Time Preschool Teacher
Portland Heights, Portland, OR
$21–$24/hour | Full-Time | Year-Round
Liberated School House is a new, home-based Montessori preschool opening in September 2026 in the beautiful Portland Heights neighborhood. We are creating a warm, inclusive, and thoughtfully prepared learning environment where children are encouraged to become confident, compassionate, and independent learners.
We are currently seeking two full-time teachers to join our founding team. Teachers who are fluent in Spanish and/or Mandarin are encouraged to apply.
This position will begin in September, 2026

Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6 months to 5 years old.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Help maintain a beautiful, organized classroom.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Collaborate with the Head of School to implement Montessori principles and daily routines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children from infancy through age 5 required
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before employment)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Montessori experience is a plus, but not required. We are happy to train candidates who are eager to learn and embrace the Montessori philosophy.
- Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin is strongly preferred for the respective positions.
