Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans that meet academic standards and are engaging and age-appropriate.
- Create a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration.
- Participate in school events, professional development, and other duties as assigned.
- Supports the District’s educational mission for all students and implements all Board regulations and policies in a fair and equitable manner
- Maintains confidentiality
- Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the principal or superintendent may assign
Qualifications:
- The minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- A valid Kansas Teacher’s Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
- ESOL Endorsement preferred ($500.00 annual stipend bonus for Kansas ESOL licensed employees)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for working with children and fostering academic and personal growth
Terms of Employment:
Salary and work year to be determined in accordance with the Professional Agreement and approved by the U.S.D. #480 Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the U.S.D. #480 Board of Education policies.
