Qualifications: 48 college credit hours OR CNA Certification and passed State Paraprofessional test OR

Job Summary: We are currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to become a SPED Paraprofessional in providing classroom assitance and individualized student support. These positions play a vital role in helping students succeed in a structured educational setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional assistance to students.
- Assist in the implementation of lesson plans.
- Work with individual or small groups of students.
- Assist with classroom instruction.
- Keep appropriate and accurate records or observations of student progress and other performance data as assigned by supervisor.
- Provide input as needed and requested by certified staff or administration.
- Maintain specified classroom and individual discipline, health and behavior management at all times.
- Assist in the supervision of student during playground, lunchroom, library, arrivals, departures, halls, auditoriums, and gymnasiums.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the classroom.
- Utilize instructional equipment needed to implement instructional plans.
- Assist in the implementation of all programs when in the absence of staff as needed.
- Maintain total confidentiality with all student data.
- Demonstrate support and encouragement to students, other paras and certified staff.
- Attend in-services and trainings as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisor: The paraprofessional will be under the direct supervision of a designated certified staff member and will be responsible to and generally supervised by the building principal, including an evalutation annually.
