Position Summary:
Liberal High School is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Testing Coordinator to manage all aspects of assessment coordination in compliance with state, district, and federal requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the school’s assessment programs and supporting school operations when available.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment Coordination & Administration

Create and manage a comprehensive yearly testing calendar aligned with district and state assessment windows

Coordinate all standardized and building-wide tests and surveys, including pre-test logistics and post-test follow-up

Reserve and manage test sites (on and off campus) and oversee test-day procedures

Provide testing schedules and communication to staff

Administer makeup testing as needed

Ensure assessment participation guidelines and accommodations are met (including IEP, 504, and ELL needs)

Ensure all required permissions for surveys and assessments are collected and documented
-
Manage the ordering, secure storage, distribution, collection, and return of all testing materials

Deliver training to staff on state/district assessments, ethics, and test security protocols

Maintain thorough documentation of all training sessions and participants

Attend all required district/state assessment trainings and meetings

Distribute test and survey results to appropriate stakeholders
Compliance & Security

Ensure full compliance with state, district, and federal testing regulations

Maintain strict test security before, during, and after each assessment

Act as liaison between school and central administration regarding testing policies and updates

Secure all testing materials and ensure ethical testing practices are followed by all involved staff
School Operational Support (As Available)

Assist in general school operations when assessment duties allow, including:

Supervision of hallways, parking lots, and cafeterias

Editing student schedules
-
Supporting the front office with phones, visitor management, and administrative tasks

Assisting with "CPC within the school day" (if applicable)

Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
-
Valid Kansas teaching or administrative license
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Ability to manage confidential information with integrity

Proficient with Microsoft Office and student information systems
-
Strong communication skills for working with staff, students, and administration
Preferred:

Prior experience coordinating assessments in a school setting

Familiarity with Kansas state testing requirements

Knowledge of assessment accommodations and student support services

Experience using systems like KITE, MAP, PowerSchool, and other testing platforms
