Oyster Shucker

This position is part time. Primarily Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.Job Specific Requirements:The Oyster Shucker is a Kitchen Role with a Front of House location; you must be comfortable interacting with guests regularly and working alongside servers, bartenders, runners to make a successful shift. Role and ResponsibilitiesSet up and stocking oyster bar with all necessary suppliesPrepare food for service (e.g. prepping sauces, inventory oysters, updating oyster board list)Shuck oysters and clams cleanly and quickly; prioritize the quality of the productAnswer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructionsMaintain a sanitary and clean work stationStock inventory appropriatelyRun oysters to guest's tables when necessary to ensure ticket time standardsComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guestsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Some shucking experience is preferred, but not required Must have weekend availabilitySome line cook or prep cook experience is valuable, but not requiredTeamwork mentalityAccuracy and speed in executing assigned tasksAbility to multitask, quickly yet thoroughlyMust be at least 16 years of ageHave reliable means of transportationHave the ability to lift and carry 10-55 lbs.Have the ability to communicate effectively in EnglishFamiliar with industry’s best practicesOUR CORE VALUES WHICH YOU BUY INTO:1.Hospitality – the genuine care of our guests and fellow associates; this allows us tocreate Guests from Customers.2.
