Senior Cost Accountant / Accounting Manager
LHH is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Coconut Creek, FL to identify a hands-on Senior Cost Accountant / Accounting Manager. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting who enjoys working closely with plant operations and driving financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Own the manufacturing cost accounting function for the facility
- Perform standard costing, cost rolls, and manufacturing variance analysis
- Analyze and maintain inventory valuation, COGS, and inventory reserves
- Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing
- Support raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory accounting
- Lead physical inventories, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations
- Partner with plant leadership to identify cost savings and operational improvements
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
- Support ERP enhancements and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience
- Strong hands-on experience with cost accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variances
- Experience with BOMs, WIP, inventory valuation, physical inventories, and cycle counts
- Experience working within a manufacturing ERP system (SAP, Sage, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Compensation & Benefits
- $95,000–$120,000 Base Salary
