What You’ll Do
Be an Analytical Leader
- Go beyond “checked and approved” — analyze results, identify trends, and help explain what’s driving change
- Bridge the analytical gap by connecting financial outcomes to operational activity
- Support leadership with insights that improve understanding of underwriting and segment results
Champion Process & Technology Improvement
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and design smarter, more efficient close processes
- Leverage technology to improve reporting accuracy, speed, and scalability
- Serve as a key liaison between accounting and IT for systems
- Participate in system testing, implementations, and enhancements
Lead Others
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and informal leadership to more junior accountants and analysts
- Review work with intention — teaching the “why,” not just the “what”
- Help develop the team’s technical skills and business understanding
- Organize team priorities, projects, and deadlines in partnership with management
Own and Elevate the Close
- Oversee assigned general ledger close and reporting activities across U.S. and
- Review and approve journal entries and complex account reconciliations, identifying and resolving issues in compliance with audit requirements
- Ensure underwriting system closes are completed accurately and on time
- Assist with compilation and review of company financial statements
Partner Across the Business
- Work closely with other departments to resolve issues and support business goals
- Contribute to strategic accounting and business projects as they arise
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for Big 4 or other public accounting firms
- CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
- Demonstrated leadership qualities — even if you don’t yet have direct reports
- Strong GAAP foundation
- Highly analytical mindset — able to connect transactions to outcomes
- Comfort reviewing, approving, and challenging work
- Strong communication skills; confident presenting ideas to leadership
- Adaptable, proactive, and energized by improvement and change
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
