LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to take ownership of key accounting functions while working closely with leadership on financial reporting, process improvements, and month-end close activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Analyze financial statements and investigate variances.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Support external audits and coordinate requests from auditors.
- Review fixed asset activity, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy.
- Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- ERP experience preferred (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, professional services, or corporate accounting environments.
