LHH is partnering with a well-established heavy civil contractor seeking an Estimator to support bridge, railroad, and heavy highway construction projects throughout the Midwest region.

What You'll Do
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed project estimates
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
- Identify and pursue viable project bidding opportunities
- Prepare proposals and quotations for clients
- Partner with project management and engineering teams during preconstruction and project planning
- Support project handoff and cost tracking after award
- Conduct site visits as needed to gather information for bidding and planning efforts
- Assist in developing construction approaches for complex bridge and railroad projects
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of estimating experience within heavy civil construction
- Experience with bridge construction, railroad infrastructure, or heavy highway projects
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
- Experience with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and project costing
- Familiarity with estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid preferred
- Understanding of heavy equipment including cranes, excavators, pile drivers, and related construction equipment
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and construction best practices
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel periodically for project site evaluations
