Job Title: Payroll Supervisor (Workday Required)
Location: Culver City, CA (Onsite/Hybrid, as applicable)
Employment Type: Contract with Potential to Convert to Full‑Time
Compensation: $90,000–$92,000 annually (hourly equivalent during contract)
Job Summary:
LHH is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor with strong and recent Workday payroll experience to support a contract opportunity in Culver City, with the possibility of conversion to a full‑time role. This position will oversee payroll operations, ensure compliance and accuracy, and partner closely with HR and Finance to support a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute end‑to‑end payroll processing using Workday
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll for multi‑state employees
- Review payroll data for accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness
- Resolve payroll discrepancies, adjustments, and employee inquiries
- Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, and compensation changes
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements
- Assist with payroll audits and documentation as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of payroll experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities
- Strong and recent hands‑on Workday payroll experience (required)
- Experience with multi‑state payroll processing
- Solid understanding of payroll tax, wage and hour, and compliance requirements
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a contract environment and adapt quickly
