LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established civil litigation law firm in Tampa that is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced defense litigation environment and enjoys managing cases from inception through trial.
What You'll Do
- Manage complex civil defense litigation matters from pre-suit through trial
- Organize, review, summarize, and produce case-related documents
- Review medical records and prepare detailed medical chronologies
- Draft discovery requests, responses, pleadings, notices, and trial-related documents
- Coordinate with experts, investigators, witnesses, and other parties involved in litigation
- Prepare deposition summaries, exhibit indexes, trial notebooks, and witness disclosures
- Assist with mediations, trial preparation, and courtroom support
- Create PowerPoint presentations and demonstrative exhibits for hearings, mediations, and trials
- Maintain case databases and ensure deadlines are met across a high-volume caseload
Qualifications
- 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment
- Civil defense litigation experience required
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures
- Experience handling discovery, document production, trial preparation, and expert coordination
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal staff
- Paralegal degree, certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience
