The Opportunity
The Conflicts Analyst plays a critical role in identifying, researching, and resolving potential conflicts of interest. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze conflict of interest requests to identify potential issues
- Conduct detailed research related to client relationships and prior matters
- Prepare clear and concise conflict search reports for attorney review
- Maintain and update conflicts records within the database
- Review new client and matter intake submissions for accuracy and completeness
- Analyze and index engagement letters
- Collaborate with attorneys to document and resolve conflict clearances
- Respond to inquiries from attorneys and legal staff with a high level of professionalism and customer service
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm environment, preferably in conflicts, new business intake, or as a legal assistant
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Intapp or similar conflicts systems is a plus
- Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with attorneys and legal staff
