LHH is hiring a Lease & Billing Analyst to join our growing commercial real estate client in Charlotte, NC. This position will support lease administration, tenant billing, and accounting functions across a portfolio of commercial properties. This role is critical to ensuring lease terms are accurately abstracted, tenant billings are properly executed, and financial obligations are recorded in compliance with lease agreements.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in commercial lease abstraction, property accounting, and billing, and is comfortable working cross‑functionally with property management, asset management, and accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities:
· Abstract commercial lease agreements, amendments, and renewals, ensuring accurate capture of key financial and contractual terms
· Maintain lease data within property management and accounting systems (e.g., MRI, Yardi, or similar)
· Prepare and process monthly tenant billings, including base rent, CAM, operating expenses, real estate taxes, and other recoveries
· Calculate and support rent escalations, percentage rent, CPI increases, and other complex lease provisions
· Assist with annual CAM reconciliations and tenant true‑ups
· Support month‑end close activities related to lease revenue, billings, and receivables
· Reconcile lease data to accounting records and investigate billing discrepancies
· Partner with accounting and property management teams to resolve tenant inquiries related to lease terms and billing
· Maintain organized lease files and supporting documentation for audit and internal review purposes
Qualifications:
· 2 years of experience in lease administration, billing, or property accounting within a commercial real estate environment
· Hands‑on experience with lease abstraction is strongly preferred
· Solid understanding of lease accounting concepts and tenant recoveries
· Experience working with property management systems such as MRI, Yardi, or similar platforms preferred
· Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations and schedule tracking
· High attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex lease language
· Effective communicator able to work across accounting, property management, and asset teams
