Full-Time | Direct Hire | Exempt
Compensation: $85,000–$100,000
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
We’re seeking an Employee Relations & Compliance Manager with deep, hands‑on experience in employee relations, leave administration, and workers’ compensation, who is also highly proficient in UKG. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, owning complex ER matters from intake through resolution, while ensuring compliance, consistency, and positive employee outcomes across the organization.

Core Focus Areas
This role is heavily focused on:
- Employee Relations case management
- Leaves of Absence (FMLA, CFRA, PDL)
- Workers’ Compensation
- HRIS administration and reporting in UKG
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters including performance issues, investigations, disputes, and corrective actions
- Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to managers on ER best practices, documentation, and risk mitigation
- Own end‑to‑end administration of leaves of absence and workers’ compensation claims, ensuring compliance and accurate tracking
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
- Maintain HR policies, personnel documentation, and audit readiness
- Serve as the primary UKG administrator, managing data integrity, reporting, workflows, and continuous process improvements
- Partner cross‑functionally on onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years of progressive HR experience with a strong concentration in employee relations
- Demonstrated experience managing LOA (FMLA, CFRA, PDL) and workers’ compensation claims
- Hands‑on UKG experience required (data management, reporting, and system optimization)
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and ER best practices
- HR certification, nonprofit, behavioral health, or union experience a plus
