LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager w/ SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting for an established organization with domestic and international operations in Irving. This position offers the opportunity to lead external financial reporting, support regulatory compliance, and address complex technical accounting matters. The ideal candidate is a CPA with at least six years of relevant experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, or public company financial reporting, along with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage quarterly financial reporting packages for parent-company stakeholders, including financial statements, footnote disclosures, cash flows, stockholders’ equity, and supporting schedules.
- Oversee recurring lender reporting, financial disclosures, and debt covenant compliance.
- Support SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, proxy statements, registration statements, and XBRL reporting requirements.
- Coordinate statutory reporting for international subsidiaries with internal accounting teams and external auditors.
- Research complex accounting issues, document conclusions, and prepare technical accounting memoranda and related disclosures.
- Monitor new accounting standards and SEC regulations, assess their impact, and support implementation.
- Maintain disclosure controls, internal controls over financial reporting, and supporting documentation for external reporting processes.
- Partner with finance teams, business leaders, senior management, and external auditors to resolve issues and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
- Leverage AI and automation tools to improve reporting efficiency, reconciliations, data analysis, and technical accounting research while maintaining appropriate review controls.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of six years of relevant experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, or financial reporting for a publicly traded company.
- Big Four or national public accounting firm experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, financial statements, footnote disclosures, and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).
- Experience preparing or reviewing statements of cash flows, earnings per share, and stockholders' equity.
- Ability to research accounting literature and translate complex technical matters into clear conclusions and disclosures.
