Ecommerce Manager

Position Summary

Our client in Indianapolis is seeking a results-driven Digital E-Commerce Manager to lead and enhance our online sales strategy and digital customer experience. This role will be responsible for managing e-commerce operations, driving online revenue growth, optimizing website performance, and implementing digital marketing initiatives that support business objectives.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with digital marketing and e-commerce expertise, bringing a customer-focused approach to improving online engagement, conversion rates, and overall digital performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute e-commerce strategies that drive online sales growth and improve customer experience.
• Manage day-to-day website operations, ensuring content, product information, pricing, and promotions are accurate and up to date.
• Monitor website performance, user behavior, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Optimize site functionality, navigation, search capabilities, and conversion pathways.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to enhance digital capabilities and user experience.
• Develop and execute digital marketing initiatives across channels including email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), paid search (SEM), social media, and online advertising.
• Analyze sales performance, customer data, and web analytics to make data-driven recommendations.
• Oversee product merchandising strategies and online promotional campaigns.
• Manage relationships with e-commerce platforms, digital agencies, and technology partners as needed.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-commerce and digital marketing.
• Support reporting and presentation of business results to leadership.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-7 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, online merchandising, or related areas.
• Experience managing business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C), or hybrid e-commerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of website analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar platforms.
• Experience with SEO, SEM, email marketing, and digital advertising.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience with ERP, CRM, or e-commerce platform integrations.
• Experience with platforms such as Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of digital content management systems (CMS).
• Experience within distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, industrial, or construction-related industries.
