Data & AI Governance Lead (Enterprise Role)

📍 Dallas, TX (Client Site – Onsite/Hybrid Flexibility) 💼 Direct Hire | $150K–$160K Bonus

Our client, a global leader delivering sustainable solutions across industrial, energy, and environmental sectors, is seeking a Data & AI Governance Lead to drive enterprise-wide governance initiatives. This is a high-impact role supporting large-scale transformation efforts across a complex, multi-entity organization.

This is an opportunity to work within a purpose-driven environment focused on innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence, partnering directly with senior leadership to shape how data and AI are governed across the enterprise.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead enterprise-level Data & AI governance forums and domain governance initiatives
  • Define and manage the KPI registry, ensuring standardization, ownership, and adoption
  • Establish and maintain master data governance standards (customer, vendor, product, project, workforce)
  • Deliver governance compliance reporting and manage issue escalation processes
  • Operate governance as a structured program (milestones, risk tracking, reporting cadence)
  • Align governance strategies with data platform modernization and ERP transformation efforts
  • Drive change management and stakeholder engagement to ensure adoption across business units
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to implement governance policies and rules
  • Develop and maintain enterprise Data & AI governance policies and ensure compliance

What You Bring

  • 8 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Analytics
  • 3 years in a leadership or enterprise-level role
  • Strong background in program management and change management
  • Experience with governance platforms such as Purview, Collibra, or Alation
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Deep experience with KPI frameworks, master data management, and governance models
  • Exposure to ERP systems and modern data platforms is highly preferred
  • Experience in complex, multi-entity environments is a strong plus

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP
  • Prosci (Change Management)
  • CDMP or related data governance certifications
