Cost Accountant

What You’ll Do
- Support financial costing activities, including BOM and standard cost maintenance
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory costing at month‑end
- Assist with month‑end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze manufacturing and operational variances (actuals vs. standards) and provide insights
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, losses, and root causes
- Review and reconcile raw materials and finished goods inventory
- Maintain and analyze conversion cost drivers and trends
- Partner closely with Operations to support business objectives and decision‑making
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including raw materials and Opex
- Document and support inventory controls, policies, and procedures
- Maintain fixed asset records and support compliance efforts
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis related to COGM, COGS, and inventory
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of experience in accounting or finance (manufacturing exposure preferred)
- Strong understanding of inventory costing and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills (VBA/macros experience a plus)
