Position Summary
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive financial performance, maintain compliance, and optimize internal controls and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (or applicable accounting standards) and regulatory requirements
- Oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to senior leadership
Accounting Operations
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost allocation practices
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
- Build scalable processes to support organizational growth
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Strategic Support
- Partner with executive leadership on financial planning and analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling
- Provide financial guidance on business initiatives, investments, and cost management
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local reporting requirements
- Maintain relationships with auditors, banks, and other external partners
Systems & Process Improvement
- Evaluate and enhance financial systems, tools, and reporting capabilities
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements across accounting functions
- Support ERP implementations or upgrades as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience leading accounting teams in a dynamic or growing environment
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Compensation Range: $135k - $185k
