About the Role
We are seeking a Senior BI Developer with strong experience across the Microsoft BI and Azure data ecosystem to design, build, and optimize enterprise data and analytics solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in data engineering, ETL development, and BI reporting, who can translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions while driving performance, data quality, and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SSIS
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data integration across multiple sources (SQL Server, cloud platforms, flat files, APIs)
- Develop data warehouse solutions, including fact/dimension models and OLTP → OLAP transformations
- Create dynamic, user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports using advanced DAX and data modeling techniques
- Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions
- Implement data validation, cleansing, and quality controls to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Manage database performance tuning using indexing, execution plans, and query optimization techniques
- Integrate data across Azure, AWS, and cloud data platforms (including Snowflake where applicable)
- Maintain documentation for data models, pipelines, and reporting logic
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and system issues, performing root cause analysis and optimization
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence / Data Engineering
- Strong expertise in:
- SQL Server & T-SQL development
- ETL tools (SSIS, ADF)
- Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboards)
- Experience with data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schema, fact/dimension modeling)
- Knowledge of OLTP and OLAP systems
- Experience working with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Data Lake, ADF, Synapse)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS, or multi-cloud environments
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks, Python, or data pipeline automation
- Exposure to SSAS, SSRS, and advanced BI reporting tools
- Experience with version control tools (Git, TFS, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and access control
