- ERP system (Acumatica or similar) payroll platform (ADP or equivalent)

Position: Accounting & Payroll Specialist (Staff Accountant Level)
Position Summary
This role supports daily accounting operations with a primary focus on accounts payable, along with exposure to payroll processing. Payroll responsibilities are consistent but not overly time-intensive, allowing for increased involvement in general accounting and process improvement efforts over time.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of accounting, AP, and/or payroll experience
- Not entry-level but still eager to grow technically
- Strong communication skills — looking for someone engaged and confident
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, process-driven environment
- ERP and payroll system experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
- Process vendor invoices including coding, matching, and approvals
- Handle check runs, ACH payments, and other disbursements
- Maintain vendor records (W-9s and related documentation)
- Assist with 1099 preparation and filing
- Monitor AP aging and reconcile vendor statements
Payroll Support
- Assist with weekly payroll processing and reporting requirements
- Review timecards and validate payroll data
- Track employee attendance and maintain payroll records
- Support payroll journal entries and reconciliations
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee/payroll data
Accounting & Close Support
- Assist with month-end close (reconciliations, accruals, schedules)
- Support audit requests, documentation, and internal controls
- Contribute to special projects and process improvements
- Provide general support to the accounting/finance team
Team Structure & Reporting
- Reports directly to the CFO
- Works on a lean, collaborative accounting team
- Department includes AP support, accounting staff, and cross-functional leadership
- Stable team with long-tenured members alongside newer leadership

Compensation & Benefits
- Weekly pay
