paying: $80,000-105,000 (up to $50/hour)

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our accounting team on a temporary basis. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, improving accounting processes, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while identifying opportunities to streamline financial operations.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our accounting team on a temporary basis. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, improving accounting processes, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while identifying opportunities to streamline financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all cash transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP system.
- Review RAMP corporate credit card transactions, verifying proper account coding and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable and accrued liability accounts, ensuring purchase order-related invoices are processed promptly.
- Maintain the prepaid expense schedule, record monthly amortization entries, and reconcile related accounts.
- Assist with month-end close by preparing journal entries and supporting account reconciliations.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Partner with the company's external accounting firm during tax nexus reviews to help ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements.
- Support special projects, process improvement initiatives, and automation efforts to enhance accounting efficiency and standardize financial processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to analyze financial data accurately.
- Demonstrated success improving accounting processes through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
