Onsite - Detroit, MI Indefinite Contract | Full-Time | $28-$31 per hourWe are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal to join a busy legal team on an indefinite contract basis. This position will run concurrently with a direct-hire search, providing long-term stability while allowing for potential future opportunities.Position HighlightsFull-time, onsite role in DetroitIndefinite contract (strong potential for extended engagement)Standard insurance defense litigation paralegal responsibilitiesCompetitive compensation at $28-$31 per hour based on experienceResponsibilitiesPrepare, draft, and file pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, and motionsOrganize, analyze, and summarize medical records, claims files, and evidenceAssist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial bindersManage case calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedulesCoordinate communication with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court staffMaintain electronic and physical case files with high accuracy and confidentialityQualifications2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal (insurance defense strongly preferred)Solid understanding of state and federal court proceduresStrong organizational, communication, and multitasking skillsProficiency with legal software and document management systemsAbility to work fully onsite and handle a steady litigation caseload Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the benefits may include PTO, medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan.
