Are you a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Our client, a growing and dynamic Tulsa-based company, is seeking a Buyer / Expeditor to play a critical role in supporting production schedules, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring materials are delivered on time.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys negotiating with vendors, tracking down solutions, and keeping operations running smoothly from purchase order to delivery.

What You'll Do

• Purchase materials, equipment, and services to support manufacturing operations
• Maintain inventory levels through collaboration with internal teams
• Evaluate and manage supplier performance based on quality, cost, reliability, and service
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, and favorable purchasing terms
• Track and expedite orders to meet production deadlines
• Confirm shipping schedules and proactively resolve delivery issues
• Monitor shipments and identify potential delays before they impact operations
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor information, and pricing histories
• Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet specifications
• Build strong supplier partnerships to support urgent and expedited needs

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience required
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Knowledge of purchasing processes and supply chain best practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree a plus
• Previous expediting experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Full-time, on-site position in Tulsa, OK

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $72,000.00 per year
