LHH is looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our client growing company in Bellevue, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Job Summary :
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the accounting department. This role involves maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform data entry to update and maintain accounting records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions accurately and timely.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain organized and accurate filing systems for financial documents.
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements as needed.
Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding billing and payments.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team as needed.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Insert number] years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical roles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with ERP systems or accounting databases.
Basic understanding of GAAP or other financial regulations.
Compensation : $25-$30 / hour DOE
