We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Campbell Eating Disorder PHP/IOP team. The Medical Assistant will work closely with our psych nurse practitioners, dietitians, and therapists to support high-quality, client-centered care. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, contributing to a safe and supportive treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients through the intake process, including vitals, lab coordination, and EKGs as needed.
- Assist in ongoing client care, including taking vitals, recording weights, and communicating effectively with medical providers.
- Document all client interactions accurately in the EHR.
- Facilitate communication between medical staff, outside providers, clients, and families.
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and medical spaces to meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling and documentation follow-up.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless and compassionate care delivery
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred; unlicensed MA with relevant experience will be considered.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous experience in mental health, eating disorders, or higher levels of care (PHP/IOP/Residential) strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Compassionate and professional approach to working with clients and families.
