What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precast Plant Manager position at LGS Precast?
Daily Responsibilities
- Oversee all plant production, batch plant, QC, yard, and loadout operations daily
- Build and manage the daily and weekly production schedule across all casting beds
- Supervise all plant personnel — casting crew, QC tech, crane operator, forklift, rebar, and yard staff
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all PPE and safety protocols
- Review shop drawings and production tickets for upcoming pours
- Coordinate with estimating and project management on delivery timelines and schedule priorities
- Monitor material inventory — strand, rebar, cement, aggregates, admixtures, embeds
- Track daily production output, labor hours, and material usage
- Address and resolve any product defects, QC holds, or production issues
- Interface with vendors, subcontractors, and engineers as needed
- Report daily production summary and any issues to ownership
- Lead continuous improvement efforts on efficiency, safety, and quality
