Job Title: Material Handler
Under direct supervision, handles and moves materials and finished products to ensure efficient workflow within a production environment.
Pay: $17-$18
Location: Orem, UT
Hours: 7am- 4pm Monday-Thursday (6-8hrs/day)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Regular standing, walking, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 80 lbs.
- Work performed in a production environment with exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Safety shoes required.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, lift, carry, and stack materials and products.
- Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment (training provided as required).
- Follow all safety procedures and attend required safety meetings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Less than high school education or up to one month of related experience/training, or equivalent combination.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills, including reading a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
- Ability to identify lumber species, size, and grade.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and dependability.
