Our team provides quality care that prepares our residents to return home or to an alternative placement in a foster or adoptive home.
Job Summary: Campus Manager for the Residential House coordinates and directs the work of subordinate direct care staff in their performance of the care of our residents. The Campus Manager performs a variety tasks to include supportive record keeping functions, must be knowledgeable of the policies, procedures and regulations concerning residents’ and supervisory techniques.

Responsibilities
Contributes to our mission, vision, and program philosophies by way of work product and professional behavior with both internal and external parties
Adheres to the requirements and regulations as set forth by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDFPS) and Texas State Board of Examiners based on clinical license and level of care standards and Children Centered Care T3C standards
Adheres to all current federal & state laws, as well as the Turning Point Children’s Social Services Policies and Procedures, including the safeguarding of confidential healthcare information and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA)- Attention to detail in ensuring daily operations align with state licensing, accreditation bodies, and agency poliies (e.g.m DFPS, licensing standards)
- Ensuring proper medication administartion and documentation daily
- Building and maintaining positive relatiolnships with families, schools and external stakeholders
- Ensuring staff peoperly document and follow-up after incidents
- Conflict resolution among staff and betweeen residents and staff
- Consistent supervision and coaching of direct care staff
Reports immediately any suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect to the Program Administrator
Attends meetings as required
Reports maintenance and vehicle concerns to Administration.- Monitoring and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards on campus
Promptly reports incidents or evidence of abuse or violation of clients’ rights.
Maintains respectful, supportive and positive communication. Track all resident information in staff logs and resident notes, using professional language. Must ensure all forms and progress notes (efforts) are properly completed throughout the shift and at the end of shifts to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
Completes other duties as directed by the Campus Manager or Administrator
Duties:
Supervise and assist as needed residents during meal preparation, housekeeping responsibilities, personal hygiene, grooming and other activities as needed.
Maintain records as designated by policies and procedures such as, but not limited to; documentation of assigned training classes, physical observation, significant observation notes, and any behavioral management programs.
Confidentiality of all client and personnel documentation and information
Follows-up, as appropriate, with our Administrator, other supervisors, co-workers or client regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns
Provide transportation to residents as required.
Supervise residents in recreational activities both on campus and off campus.
Be responsible during evening hours to contact appropriate administrative staff in case of an emergency.
Make written reports of significant incidents occurring during shift.
Serve, as an informal advocate for residents.
Correct unacceptable behavior and help residents meet the necessary requirements of the house rules.
Provide first-aid assistance to all residents and assist in the follow through on medical needs for residents.
Complete weekly meal monitoring sheets, assigned chores, and special requests.
Assist in maintaining all necessary supplies for client needs, i.e. grooming supplies, household cleaning supplies, and items needed for staff job duties.
Assist in general upkeep and repair of facility such as, but not limited to: keeping inside of vehicles clean and ensure sufficient gasoline level for next usage, cleaning of facility grounds and/or buildings, and pursuing possible outside resources for resolving noted problems area
Maintains acceptable attendance and dress codes, including personal hygiene, and other work policies, procedures and duties as assigned.
Participate in scheduled hours of training annually.
Be knowledgeable in and follow TDFPS licensing standards and T3C
Respectful of children's rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, safety, and well-being of children in our care
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma. College Degree Preferred
Must be at least 25 years of age
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in a residential treatment facility/group home or behavioral health environment, holding Supervisory leadership role
Preferred. A minimum of at least 5 years’ experience in a Management capacity for a Residential Treatment Facility
Experience working with children diagnosed with behavioral and emotional disorders is preferred- Demonstrated knowledge of licensing standards such as Mininum Standards and trauma-informed care principles
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and standards in a residential/group home settings
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to assist residents during meal preparation, housekeeping responsibilities, personal hygiene, grooming and other activities as needed.
Ability to support the agency's culture, growth, and success through communication, accountability, and positive reinforcement
Ability to be clear headed and decisive based on the scope of the position
Ability to work efficiently and effectively both individually and as part of a team
Ability to appropriately accept feedback through the supervision process thus displaying the willingness to learn, grow, and improve
Demonstrate the ability to be a positive role model and have excellent leadership skills- Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, the Internet, and other software applications

Additional Requirements:
Proof of valid Texas Driver's License (Type C)- Must have reliable transportation
Three (3) employment references
Cleared criminal background check
Cleared TB test results (current within 12 months prior to employment)

Physical Demands:
With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, frequent sitting, standing and walking, may be required for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs, walking up inclines, and on uneven terrain.
