Job Summary:
LG Energy Solution Michigan is seeking a highly motivated Accounting (ICFR) Summer Intern to support the financial compliance and internal control processes across North American entities. This internship offers hands-on experience in key accounting functions such as internal controls, financial reporting, and risk assessment. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams and gain valuable exposure to corporate accounting and compliance practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and documenting internal controls, including flowcharts and risk control matrices (RCM).
- Support the execution of control testing, including data collection and sample review.
- Help conduct operational control assessments to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and document potential financial risks.
- Assist in the monthly financial close process, reviewing key accounts and financial statements.
- Work on special projects as assigned to enhance accounting and finance functions.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus, but not required.
