Job Title: Accounting (ICFR) Summer Intern

Job Summary:

LG Energy Solution Michigan is seeking a highly motivated Accounting (ICFR) Summer Intern to support the financial compliance and internal control processes across North American entities. This internship offers hands-on experience in key accounting functions such as internal controls, financial reporting, and risk assessment. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams and gain valuable exposure to corporate accounting and compliance practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and documenting internal controls, including flowcharts and risk control matrices (RCM).
• Support the execution of control testing, including data collection and sample review.
• Help conduct operational control assessments to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and document potential financial risks.
• Assist in the monthly financial close process, reviewing key accounts and financial statements.
• Work on special projects as assigned to enhance accounting and finance functions.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus, but not required.
