What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at LF Staffing Services, Inc.?
We are hiring a Maintenance Worker in Shreveport, LA for a full-time, day-shift position (Monday through Friday) on a temp-to-hire basis. This role focuses on the daily upkeep of public areas, including landscaping, grounds maintenance, and general repairs, using tools and equipment to maintain a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, hands-on, and comfortable working outdoors.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain landscaping and grounds, including mowing, pruning, watering, and trash removal
- Operate equipment and tools such as mowers, weed eaters, edgers, and chainsaws
- Load and unload tools and materials for daily tasks
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment
- Assist with additional duties as needed to support daily operations
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of maintenance or related experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements
- Comfortable working outdoors and using tools/equipment
- Background check required
