Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented IT Help Desk & Office Operations Technician to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will provide local IT support in close collaboration with our IT team based in Paris while also ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support (Level 1 & Level 2), improving end-user experience, and ensuring compliance with IT group policies. In addition, you will oversee office operations activities such as workplace coordination, office upkeep, vendor management, and employee experience initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical issues, working with people, and taking ownership of office operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support & Infrastructure
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, WiFi, and workstation connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, and IT equipment
- Manage Active Directory (users, groups, permissions)
- Administer IT assets including hardware, software, and service contracts
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support when required
- Monitor helpdesk performance and SLA compliance
- Support IT deployments, updates, and system releases
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with external vendors and outsourced IT providers
Office Operations Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations, upkeep, and functionality
- Act as the main point of contact for office-related questions and needs
- Support and contribute to local office culture and employee engagement initiatives
- Organize internal office events and activities
- Manage office supplies, procurement, and budgeting
- Liaise with landlords and building management for facilities and maintenance
- Coordinate office administrative needs and vendor relationships
- Support travel request coordination when required
- Ensure a productive, well-maintained, and positive workplace environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in IT support (multi-site environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Windows environments and Microsoft technologies (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, RDP)
- Experience with endpoint management and IT asset administration
- Understanding of networking (LAN, WiFi, VPN)
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- VOIP support experience is an asset
- IT project coordination experience is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
(Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus but not mandatory.)
