Real Estate Paralegal / Legal Assistant – New York, NY (On-Site)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Real Estate Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our dynamic, collaborative team. This is an on-site position.
Our mission is simple: to help good people avoid bad real estate transactions.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, process-driven, and genuinely interested in helping grow a well-established firm with modern ambition.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including contracts of sale, loan documents, closing documents, and title documentation
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, and other third parties
- Organize, track, and maintain transactional files to ensure deadlines and contingencies are met
- Assist with closings, including scheduling, preparing closing binders, and post-closing follow-up
- Conduct due diligence, collect required documentation, and monitor transaction progress
- Support internal process development and contribute to the improvement of firm workflows
- Provide general administrative and legal support as needed
Qualifications
- 2 years of real estate paralegal or legal assistant experience (residential and/or commercial)
- Strong understanding of New York real estate transactions and related documentation
- Excellent organizational skills and a process-oriented work style
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Strong communication and client-service skills
- Proficiency with legal software, document management tools, and general office technology
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and eagerness to support firm growth
