What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Runner position at Lexington Truck Sales?
Lexington Truck Sales is currently hiring for the position of Parts Runner.
The Parts Runner will play a key part in keeping our service and sales operation running smoothly by ensuring the right parts get to the right place at the right time.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver truck parts to technicians, service bays, customers, and vendors in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate with the parts department to confirm orders are complete and properly packaged before transport
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and mileage logs
- Inspect parts upon receipt for damage or discrepancies and communicate any issues to the parts manager
- Ensure the delivery vehicle is kept clean, fueled, and in good working condition; report any maintenance needs promptly
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, customers, and internal team members
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies while operating company vehicles
- Assist with parts department tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and pulling orders as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Prior experience in a parts, delivery, or automotive/truck environment is a plus but not required
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday; 8AM – 5 PM
