POSITION SUMMARY: The Set Designer is responsible for the composition of the set for theatrical productions in alignment with the vision of the production as agreed upon by the Creative Team.PRIMARY DUTIES:Create a design for the Drama Club theatrical production in alignment with the vision as agreed upon by the Creative Team with intention of reuse from year to year.Draw up a list of materials necessary for the construction of said design.Research and purchase materials necessary for the construction of said design.Work with Technical Director to construct said design.Perform other related duties as required and assigned REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to establish rapport and build professional relationships with students Proficiency in ASLExcellent time management, planning, and organizational skills EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED requiredExperience working with High School students SECURITY CLEARANCE: Required clearances include medical clearance, fingerprinted by the NYC Board of Ed, SCR, and SEL clearance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Prolonged periods of walking in and around the building Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
