The Head Middle School Football Coach is responsible for leading and developing the school’s football program with a focus on student-athlete growth, sportsmanship, and skill development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct all practices, games, and team activities
- Teach fundamental football skills, rules, and strategies appropriate for middle school athletes
- Promote academic success, character development, and positive behavior
- Supervise assistant coaches and coordinate coaching responsibilities
- Ensure student safety and enforce all school, district, and athletic policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and staff
- Organize equipment, uniforms, and game logistics
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture
Qualifications:
- Prior coaching experience: Required (preferred at middle school or youth level)
- Strong knowledge of football fundamentals
- Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid coaching certification as required by district/state guidelines
- CDL (required, or willingness to obtain)
