Position Title:            1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist 

    

 

Reports to:                Building Principal, Evaluation Team Supervisor and Director of Special Education

 

Terms of Employment:   To cover a leave of absence from August 31, 2026 through January 20, 2027.

 

Either B/1 (no less than $317.16) or M/1 (no less than $349.25) per diem for days worked.

 

Non-benefits eligible, at-will position.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Supports Instructional programming by providing speech/language therapy to students as required.
  • Schedules students into appropriate instructional groups
  • Provide therapeutic services in both the general education and Speech office to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and student needs
  • Performs diagnostic evaluations and implements treatment plans in relation to student needs
  • Consults and collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement effective therapy
  • Serves as a consultant to school staff members in the development of services
  • Participates in Team and parent meetings
  • Responsible for goal writing and occasionally serving as liaison for IEPs
  • Keep thorough records of the individual student receiving services
  • Assists with mobility, transitioning and personal care as needed
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Knowledge of AAC preferred

 Job Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech and Language Pathology or a related field
  • DESE licensed as Speech Language Pathologist
  • Holds Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or has completed requirements and application with ASHA is pending
  • We cannot support Clinical Fellowships at this time
