Position Title:            1.0 Long-Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist

 

 

Reports to:                Building Principal, Evaluation Team Supervisor and Director of Special Education

 

Terms of Employment:    To cover a leave of absence from approximately November 10, 2026 through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.

 

Either B/1 ($327.16) or M/1 ($349.25) per diem.  FY26 rates, may increase for FY27.

Non-benefits eligible, at-will position.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supports Instructional programming by providing speech/language therapy to students as required.
  • Schedules students into appropriate instructional groups
  • Provide therapeutic services in both the general education and Speech office to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and student needs
  • Performs diagnostic evaluations and implements treatment plans in relation to student needs
  • Consults and collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement effective therapy
  • Serves as a consultant to school staff members in the development of services
  • Participates in Team and parent meetings
  • Responsible for goal writing and occasionally serving as liaison for IEPs
  • Keep thorough records of the individual student receiving services
  • Assists with mobility, transitioning and personal care as needed
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Knowledge of AAC preferred

 Job Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech and Language Pathology or a related field
  • DESE licensed as Speech Language Pathologist
  • Holds Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or has completed requirements and application with ASHA is pendin
  • We cannot support Clinical Fellowships at this time
