Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchasing Coordinator located in Lexington, KY. The Purchasing Coordinator will oversee purchasing processes, manage purchase orders, and support procurement activities. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate inventory, collaborating with vendors, analyzing purchasing needs to optimize costs through GPO and local agreements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. The position requires close collaboration with various departments to streamline supply chain operations within the organization.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Purchasing Processes, Purchasing, and managing Purchase Orders
- Experience in Procurement and supply chain operations
- Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating purchasing needs and optimizing cost-effectiveness
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5 years’ work experience in procurement with 3 yesr minimum in hospital or ASC
