Position Summary
The Production Control/Data Entry Clerk is responsible for offering clerical support to the department in Processing and Routing of drawings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for Inputting information into the Tekla system regarding the job specification and material requirements of each engineered drawing using XML files.
- Compares the Bill of Material requirements to the print. Verifies matching information for each piece mark listed on the Bill of Materials.
- Responsible for entering and checking all Advance Bills for purchasing.
- Responsible for checking work for accuracy.
- Responsible for reading blueprints to determine what shape material should be before being issued to shop.
- Routes drawings for shop which assist in shop workflow.
- The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year's experience in data entry. General knowledge and understanding of blueprints and drawings is required. Basic math skills such as converting decimals to fractions is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Access. Excellent organizational skills required.
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit and work directly on a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Some overtime and weekend work are required. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
